Kareena wants sex scene with Saif deleted

Kareena Kapoor has shot a sizzling love-making sequence with beau Saif in Rensil D’Silva directed Qurbaan.

But now Bebo wants the scene to be deleted as believes that the physical exposure and intimacy shown in it is a little too much.

She said that the love-making scene was explicit by her yardstick but she couldn't have complained after signing the movie.

Although Kareena has done many sizzling kissing scene and bikini shots in movies like Fida, Tashan and Kambakkht Ishq she is not comfortable showing her sizzling chemistry with beau Saif being shown on screen.

The thing that is bothering are is how would her and Saif's parents react to the scene. Well all we can say is Kareena's fans surely wouldn't like the scene to be deleted!

Kareena in, Bipasha out in Race 2

Despite giving a power packed performance in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race’, Bipasha Basu was ousted from the Race sequel and the mastermind behind the in and out game is learnt to be none other than the man madly in love, Saif Ali Khan.

He is desperate to have Kareena Kapoor instead of Bipasha Basu in the Race 2 and therefore convinced the director duo to rope in Kareena.

Overjoyed Saif revealed that the new Race would be much bigger than the earlier one and he even convinced the producer to sign up Abbas-Mustan again. Some changes are made on the script to make way for Kareena.

Confirming Kareena’s presence, Saif said, "Yes, Kareena will be part of Race 2. We're yet to flesh out the details. But Race 2 has to be bigger and larger than Race. Otherwise no point in making it".

Saif has again miffed his actress, first it was Deepika and now Bipasha. If he keeps on discarding his actress to make way for Bebo, we wonder in future he may not be facing hard time in convincing his heroines.

So far Sharmila has never commented on her son’s relationship, though it is no secret that Kareena is a favourite in the Khan household.

Says a source, “Both Sharmila and Mansoor Pataudi have taken to Kareena in a big way. They’ve never seen their son happier in any other relationship. And they know Kareena is the r i g h t girl for their son. They also know that Kareena gets along famously with Saif’s children. Now when Saif is on the threshold of 40, Sharmila has for the first time made a statement on her son’s private life.” The marriage matter has now reached a stage where the ball is entirely in Kareena’s court. Saif’s and Kareena’s mothers have met and expressed a mutual joy in the union. Kareena’s and Saif’s respective dads are all for the marriage too, though unlike the mothers, the two fathers have left the decision to the two people concerned. But Kareena is not ready yet. “I’ve to consolidate my career right now,” she says. “And I know I can perfectly balance out my marriage with my career. I’ve Saif’s mom’s example in front of me. She did all her best films after marriage. More recently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too has stuck a perfect balance between home and studio.”

For Kareena it’s not that simple. “I know once I get married I’d like to devote myself completely to that. When it comes to my emotions I’m not a multi-tasker. So at the moment, specially after Kambakkht Ishq, I need to work. These are the best years of my working life. And Saif is with me, neither of us are running away from a full commitment to one another. So no marriage for another three years.” Apparently after Sharmila Tagore’s uncharacteristic comments on her son’s marriage, Kareena was put in a quandary as neither Saif nor she could ever say no her. However Kareena has convinced Saif once again that marriage must wait.

Says Saif, “Amma loves Kareena and of course wants us to be together always. But we both need and want to focus on our work and we’ll think of taking our relationship to the next level when the time is right. Right now, things are beautiful the way they are.”

This is her first film in 2009, but certainly not her last, she has Main Aur Mrs Khanna with Salman Khan, Kurbaan with Saif Ali Khan and 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan all lined up for October-November.

In between, she will be shooting for Agent Vinod and Stepmom, 100 days each from September onwards. Nowadays she reads the scripts (“the whole scripts, twice over”) before accepting a film.

“Earlier, I used to give in to temptation, greed, often do the film for a friend. Now I only do it for the role. My role has to be the central part... or no way,” she told me bluntly.

I was watching her do a photo shoot at Mehboob Studios, effortlessly changing one costume after another, altering her look with hair and makeup, pouting at the camera, making sensual love to it with smouldering eyes. I distracted her with a question: what does power mean to Bollywood’s No. 1 actress? She took it straight off the bat, “Power to me is the fact that I can choose which film I’d like to do, what brand I want to endorse, which show I want to be part of, what role I want to essay ... Power doesn’t mean I can make any film a super hit and every show houseful.

I’ve put in ten years of blood and sweat, 18 hours of work a day, just to get here. Lots of films I wanted to do, I was not a part of because nobody approached me. But I went to sleep at night knowing it would happen to me. And I made it happen. I don’t have many people to thank for this. So, I would like audiences to recognise me as an actress today. I’m here to sell talent. And my talent is like a temple. I protect it.

I worship it. Today I am on the power list, tomorrow I won’t be, but I will continue the effort. I am a courageous girl, I’ve been brave to take decisions. I’m honest — I don’t hide anything, not my relationship, nor the fact that I want to do path-breaking roles like in Omkara, Chameli and Jab We Met. I want to be known for my body of work. Nothing else matters.”

It is true, I think, nothing seems to matter to this girl; certainly not the power, nor box-office success and failure, the critics’ comments, the competition within the industry for her coveted status as the No. 1 actress... nothing matters but her next role. And she’s using her power to fuel the passion within her for films and to demand more challenging and different roles. “My mother, my sister Karisma, told me not to let it go to my head,” she said. “How can I do that? My career and acting are most important to me. The flame is in my blood, the fire is always burning, it comes across in every photo. Can’t you see that?”

She says, “I have to. When I go abroad nowadays, I find myself spending more time in the shops than holidaying. It’s a responsibility. And I do need to be chic all the time. Designer Aki Narula has set impossible standards of fashion for me through my films. Now I’ve no choice but to live up to those standards. I’ve raised the bar for fashion.”

Commenting on her global shopping spree, Kareena says, “I constantly need to be well dressed. Everything I wear is under the media glare. It’s the price I have to pay. It is very tiring, but I must confess it’s also flattering. I’m really proud to be called stylish. But my being a fashion icon also depends on my attitude and mood of the moment.”

Now that Aki Narula has designed her clothes in Kambakkht Ishq and Qurbaan and not Manish Malhotra, is she shifting loyalties? “No. I love Aki’s work and plan to often use his clothes. Aki has again made me look so special in Qurbaan. But Manish and I go back a long way. He dressed up my sister to stardom and then me. We’re not the kind of people who move on in our friendships,” she says.

Talking about the designers who she will work with in her forthcoming films, she says, “The clothes and designer depend on the character and film. I am back with Manish Malhotra for 3 Idiots and the remake of Stepmom in which I will be dressed up as a stylish young girl. I am also planning to cut my hair. I have a minimal look in my forthcoming films, Qurbaan and 3 Idiots. People will be shocked when they see me in Qurbaan. If I can carry off Kolhapuri chappals in Omkara, I am as much at home in Jimmy Choos in KI. I’m equally proud of both kinds of films.”

Saif Ali Khan is pretty bowled over by the sensuous look of Kareena Kapoor in Kambakkht Ishq .

Now, here’s a couple who’s not hush-hush about their love affair, not even about their personal fetishes.

Just recently Kareena held a special screening of her film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ for family and friends. Almost everyone loved the film and Saif was particularly struck by Bebo’s glamourous look – designed by Aki Narula – in the film, even though he did not like her in the song ‘Bebo Main Bebo’ in which she tries to seduce Akshay Kumar . Well, that’s understandable.

However, Saif loved the song she has with Akshay in Venice.

But apart from films, Kareena confesses that Saif loves to see her dressed sexily.

“He likes to see me look glamorous and sexy and not just in films. He wants me to dress up all the time when we are going out for dinner or to parties,” Kareena is quoted as saying by a tabloid.

Besides Saif, Kareena’s mother Babita and sister Karisma Kapoor too have loved the film.

However, most of the critics have given a convincing thumbs-down to ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.

It is only Kareena Kapoor who is ruling Saif’s mind and heart at the moment despite sharing intimate scenes with Deepika Padukone in ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Chotte Nawab missed his ladylove so much that he could not keep away Bebo’s memory even while portraying scene with Deepika. Bebo was in Saif’s memory when he was doing close scenes with Deepika.

Saif said, "I missed her (Kareena) very much. Had she been in the film, it would have been great. Besides, I always miss her when we work apart. Often she gets busy with her own shooting schedules and I tour to some other locations away from her. In such situations I miss her, but luckily, she is very understanding."

Apart from touching and kissing, Saif went to the extent of touching Deepika’s butt. The film where he plays the young Rishi Kapoor is much in news for its script, star casts, the maker and most significantly because of Saif and Deepika’s intimate scenes.

Speaking about the role that he is playing, Saif said, "I am representing young Rishi Kapoor. So I had to work hard to represent his body language. I had to learn Punjabi and there are many other details which I had to take care of. So I think it was quite a challenge to portray the character."

He will be seen in dual role. In one part, he plays a Sikh and the other part he plays a metro guy.

Stylist Aki Narula, who shopped all over Milan for Kareena’s wardrobe for the film, says she’s India’s answer to Sarah Jessica Parker in the movie.

We love the white bondage type shoes she wears with a floral dress and the printed ganji-mini; the hot pink ones with black ankle strap that livens up the black sequinned number; and the scarlet ones with a corsage that take away the goody-two-shoe-ness of the canary yellow floral outfit. The peach outfit would have washed Bebo out if it weren’t for the burgundy shoes with the cut-out wedges. Another striking ensemble is the white ganji-bloomers with the bubblegum pink corset and metallic green heels.

Fifty two five-inch high shoes were hand-picked by the designer in Milan over 10 days. To keep the impact of the shoes and outfits strong, Kareena wears almost no jewellery, save for strong cuffs. “She didn’t get out of the heels once she got into them. She walked, danced and ran all over the cobbled streets of Venice in them,” says Aki.
